We're so grateful that this was the 5th Skatepark Community out of the 6 parks here on Maui that we were able to minister to through OneLoveSkate.org in the 4th week of April. (Hana @oneloveskate action is scheduled to begin in June).
At all 5 Maui parks last week, we worked on Powerslides with our 4th One Love Value #Sightings and learned Psalm 7:17, and this turned out to be our best week of #Sightings ever with a Christafari Concert & One Love Skate event Saturday night!
Christafari shared heartfelt words about serving in Lahaina on their facebook and instagram posts celebrating Saturday Night’s Lahaina event with One Love Skate:
“Yesterday’s outreach at Napili park was the highlight of Maui. “Out of the ashes we rise,” this is our prayer for Lahaina!
...It was an honor to minister to the beautiful people of Lahaina who are still recovering from the tragic fire. While it drizzled pretty much throughout the whole day, we also had the greatest amount of rainbows at any Christafari concert that we’ve ever had. It was a privilege to minister to these incredible people who are still clinging to the promises of God. One thing that stood out to me today was how certain lyrics that we sing in songs like “Surely Goodness and Mercy,” “Hiding Place,” “He is Greater Than I,” “Goodness of God” and “Our God” hit different in this setting. When I sing words like, “You have led me through the fire,” and “Out of the ashes we rise,” it was hard not to choke up. Thanks so much for sending us here. We later wished we had thought to get pictures with the whole band & One Love Skate reps and their families who have been regularly ministering to 5 Maui Skateparks. Thankful One Love Skate Reps & Coaches from Paia, Pukalani, Kahului, Kihei, & Lahaina were all present on Saturday.

Thank you to those who partner with us to make all these One Love Skate groups and events happen. Thanks to your contributions we were able to buy 50 pizzas, pay about $500 in insurance, give a love gift for the band, give away 10 One Love decks, and prizes. WOW! It has been such an honor to watch the way God uses your generosity and multiplies it.

One Love Groups Scheduled this week
This week begins another One Love Skate monthly cycle of working on our 4 Skateboard Skills (1 per week).
The groups meeting this week at various skateparks are working on Drop In’s with Isaiah 55:6 and the One Love Value of #SeekTheMostHigh
