Groundbreaking #OneLoveSkate action | New Skatepark Coming Soon in Pukalani, Maui
1L Fam,
So stoked last week to have had the privilege of being part of a "Groundbreaking" for the new Upcountry Skatepark.
"Sometimes God gives us glimpses of His favor upon this movement. When 1L moved to NC to focus on solidifying the organization, He had skate ramps waiting for us in a church’s boiler room. When 1L moved back to HI, God divinely orchestrated our being back with the long-awaited groundbreaking for the Upcountry Skatepark. We had been to several meetings back in 2015, and we’re stoked that this park is finally in the works! With our goal to cultivate community, it’s neat that the community we live in is cultivating a skatepark."
- Nicole Marburger, 1L Missionary
April 20, 2015, Upcountry Skate Alliance's Facebook page had put up this picture (embedded below) of Caleb at 4 years old and Joshua helping with the layout of the skatepark.
Stoked that Caleb is now 6 years old, and some of his plans will become concrete soon!
Stoked that because of the new skatepark, we were able to spend time with Mayor Alan Arakawa, Chief of Maui Fire Department, Chief of Maui Police Department, Skateboard Community Leaders, and the Principal of Pukalani Elementary. Thank you skateboarding:)
Live One Love (1 John 4:9),
