Thank you for helping us live the One Love of Jesus (1 John 4:9).
We wanted to connect and share some recent things we are thankful for around 1L.
Our mission is to live Jesus' love as a positive presence in the skate community. Although the skatepark was closed and we could not do life group around March and April this year, for most weeks we have been at the skatepark in Pukalani and have still been able to skate and have 1L Life Groups. Here is a picture from last month with a new tent that our friend, Moose, who owns a local bike shop purchased for us to help us gather.
So thankful for the amazing team God has brought together for One Love Skate in Pukalani with 20+ people gathering most weeks. We've been enjoying games of skate and seeing everyone progress, and then we have conversation-based life groups and snacks each week.
Josh, Sam, and friends normally do the lessons, and this year Young Life Maui has also been a part of One Love in Pukalani. They also plan to do One Love Skate at Lahaina Skatepark more as well.
Also, Sam & Josh have just completed a new set of 7 training videos that we hope to utilize to train more 1L Reps to live Jesus' love at skateparks. Thanks Josh Sutherland of @wavesandgrain for filming and editing these for us!
We are thankful to have had Gospel Conversations and have even seen people connect with our churches as a result of connecting at the skatepark this year.
We are also thankful to have upped our giving each month from 10% to 15% of everything that comes in to One Love Skate (501c3) going back out to like-minded missionaries around the world.
Giving thanks to the LORD for He is good and His steadfast love endures forever! (Psalm 136).
Thankful for the opportunity to speak this weekend at Waipuna Chapel

Nicole will also be doing the spoken word she wrote during our 1L Mission in NC: "Pandemic Pax."

Excited to see the updates and prayer requests on the sign-in sheets, and it's cool to know the message is consistently going out through their ministry!
Pray for Brody's Travels!
Brody has continued to grow as he has been serving on staff at YWAM Maui. He has been serving the community, serving at his base, and serving the church faithfully as a leader for "Youth With A Mission."
Waipuna Chapel prayed for him during service last Friday as he and another staff member travel to Asia this week. Please pray for their travels as International Travel is more challenging now due to COVID-19 concerns, and they have already been rerouted since leaving Tuesday morning.
